Jana Sue Bragg

Jana Bragg passed away on August 3, 2019 at University Hospital in Iowa City, Iowa.

Jana was born July 13, 1952 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Carl and Wilemina (Herndon) Watson. After moving to Des Moines, Jana attended and graduated from Valley High School in West Des Moines. She attended Mt. Hebron and Valley Community Church.

Jana had a strong work ethic and was employed by several business concerns, Firestone, Ryko Manufacturing, Titan Tire and Mainstream Living.

Jana loved people! She was a bartender for many years. She knew how to connect with people and they talked to her about their lives. She also loved to shop. Jana never met a pocketbook she didn't like. She loved going to concerts and enjoyed the blues and R&B music. She was a good cook and her lasagna was the best! She wasn't much on gardening, but she loved the 1 plant that she had.

Jana was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Wilemina Watson; and her brothers, Jerard and Jeryl.

Jana leaves behind her sons, Brandon Bragg and Justin Watson; her grand children, Leah Watson, Justin Watson II, Jordan Watson and Karissa Fields; her brother Jeffrey Watson and a host of extended family and friends.

The memorial service for Jana will be Saturday, August 17, 2019 from 3-6 p.m., at the Eddie Davis Community Center. The Eddie Davis Community Center is located at 1312 Maple St. West Des Moines, IA 50265.Memorial Service
