James Davis

James Davis (67) passed away on February 27, 2020. The family will be holding a celebration of life service for James on Monday, March 9, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. at Revival Center Church of God In Christ.

James "Goon" Edward Davis Jr. was born on July 2, 1952 to James Edward Davis Sr. and Bernadine Robinson, in Des Moines, IA. He attended North High School in Des Moines, Iowa and graduated in 1970.

James was a life long resident of Des Moines. He worked for Hendersons Clothing as a tailor and various other jobs.

James loved to sew and dance. He also enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

James passed away on February 27, 2020. He was proceeded in death by his parents; brother, Alfred Robinson and sister, Sharon Davis.

Left to cherish Jamess memory are his brothers George (Gloria) Davis of Des Moines, IA, Marvin Robinson of Minnesota and Tyrone Davis of Creston, IA; sisters, Willetta Davis of Springfield, IL, Dorothy Scales; brother-in-law, James Pinson and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
