Celebration of Life for Jamaal Rahman Clarkson
Jamaal Rahman Clarkson was born to Sherrie Sue Ward and Curtis Albert Clarkson (Abdul-Rahman) on July 7, 1978 at Cedar Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles, CA.. Jamaal attended Colfax Elementary, Colfax-Mingo Middle School and East High School in Des Moines, Iowa. Jamaal worked as a Child Support Recovery Clerk and as an Electrician at The Baker Group.
Jamaal loved God and accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior. Jamaal was Baptized at Union Baptist Church in Des Moines, Iowa.
Jamaal enjoyed Motorcycles, listening to music, reading, fishing, entertaining large groups of people and let us not forget, Dominos! Who do you know that has been a dominologist since the age of four? Jamaal had his father Curtis to thank for that. Most of all, Jamaal loved his family. No questions asked, family always came first as far as Jamaal was concerned. Jamaal was lovingly called "little red" by his auntie Sharmaine because of the Sandy colored hair he was born with. Jamaal was also affectionately known by everyone in town as "sleepy" because of his beautiful sleepy like eyes that appeared to be half open. They were dreamy.
Jamaal is preceded in death by his Father, Curtis Albert Clarkson (Abdul-Rahman) and his Aunt, Sharmaine Shirley Ward Davenport.
Jamaal leaves to mourn his Mother Sherrie Ward-Gordon, Step-Father Thomas Gordon, Brothers Khalif James Russel Trumbo and Curtis Clarkson Jr., Children Ahmad, Khavani, Naila, Amira, and Jamari as well as a host of Uncles, Aunts, Cousins, Nieces, Nephews and Friends.
