Jacqueline Logan

October 20, 1951 — April 23, 2022

Jacqueline Logan

Jacqueline Kay Logan was born October 20, 1951 to Matthew Dawson and Mae Ella Davis in Des Moines, Iowa. Jacqueline attended and graduated from Des Moines Tech High School.

For most of her life, Jacqueline was a proud mother and foster parent. She loved children and they gravitated towards her. The house and yard was always a haven for the neighbor hood children to stay and play. If they were having a rough time at home they knew Ms. Jackies house was a safe place to stay. She fostered and raised countless children, officially and un-officially. Whether you were listening determined if she was the "strict mom" or not. She loved doing yard work and she was a great cook; and making mac & cheese, spaghetti, and fish, were her specialties. She liked to dance and sing to all genres of music.

Jacqueline passed away April 23, 2022. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, John E. Long; sister, Phylisha Duncan; and grandson, LeOndre Manuel.

Jacqueline is survived by her children, Inez Manuel, Valerie Manuel, Nikeeta Manuel, Matthew Manuel, Lovell Logan, and Asianna Manuel; brother, Bishop Marion Eppright; her 15 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends.
