Jack Leslie Kopaska

Jack Leslie Kopaska passed away on May 5, 2019, Military Honors were held at 12:00 p.m. on May 9, 2019, at Henderson's Highland Park Funeral Home. Burial to follow at Highland Cemetery in Bayard, Iowa.

Jack was the son of John Walter Kopaska and Nora Morehead Kopaska. He was raised in Jefferson,Rippey and Nevada, Iowa and once he graduated high school he joined the Navy. Jack served on two warships sailing out of Japan during the Korean War. After his honorable discharge he came home and settled down with his wife, Raetta to raise their children. He was employed by John Deere Manufacturing for over 30 years in the Experimental Department as a welder. He converted an old barn in the back yard to a workshop and would spend hours out there, creating things. Jack and his family loved the VFW and supported them in many fundraisers to help veterans.Military Honors
