Ishmael Rasul Muhammad

Ishmael Muhammad passed away May 23, 2020.

A Community Visitation for Ishmael will be held on Thursday from 3-5 pm with CDC guidelines of social distancing, no more than 10 people in the building at a time and masks required.

Ishmael Rasul Muhammad, the son of Joseph and Pashion Muhammad was born September 22, 2002 in Des Moines, Iowa. He was educated in the Des Moines Public School District and a student at Scavo.

A typical teen ager, Ishmael loved basketball, video games, and having fun hanging with his friends. He was a jokester and had just recently gotten his driving permit. He loved to eat and Cookies and Cream ice cream was his favorite.

Ishmael was preceded in death by his great grandfathers Stevie Walton, Charles Green, Bennie McNeal and Otto Stone; grandfather, Robert Stone; great grandmothers, May Stone and Alice Green; grandmothers, Stephanie Calhoun and Willie C. McNeal.

Left to cherish Ishmael's memory are his parents, Joseph, Pashion and Byron; his siblings, Rasheedah, Ali, Kareemah, Yusef, Savon Green, Meccah, Nisir, Aziza and Farrah Muhammad; great grandmother, Juanita Payton; grandparents, Thomas and Doris Green, god grandmother, Norma Jackson and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends.

A private family funeral will be held at a later time.Visitation
