Helen Robinson

Helen Robinson passed away on May 22, 2020. No services are being planned at this time.

Helen was born January 11, 1945 to Primise Erving and Almeta (Harper) Erving in Stamps, Arkansas. She married Homer D Robinson at a young age and sadly he preceded her in death.

Helen moved to California for awhile but decided to come to Iowa to be near her children and grandchildren.

Helen was interested in making money. She loved shopping, watching her soap opera's, telling jokes and spending time with her family. She would sit on her front porch, listening to music and dispense motherly wisdom. She had many talents, but she was best at being a caregiver. She could always be counted on to lend a helping hand.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Homer, Sr.; her parents, Primise and Almeta; her daughter Almeta Sumlin; granddaughters Safire and Gabrielle Robinson and grandson, Marion Harris; a son Bill Robinson and sister, Kayla Scott.

Helen is survived by her children, Homer D. Robinson, Jr, Vicki Mae Thompson, Obie Sumlin and Tiffany Neely; her siblings, Ruby Hogan, Darlene Hines, Tommie Johnson, John Scott and James Chester Henderson; 34 grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends.
