Erma Peden passed away on March 9, 2020. Private services were held.
Erma Dell Peden was born August 6, 1933 in Mexico Missouri to Garrnet Smith and Florence Shelley Mickens. Erma was educated in the Mexico Parochial School system. She attended the Girls Academy in Mexico where she graduated.
The family moved north to take advantage of the educational and work opportunities. Erma soon found employment as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Bishop Drum Care facility. She was a good cook so it wasnt long before she used her talents in the kitchen. Erma also worked for Meals on Wheels.
Erma was married to Willie Richardson in 1982. Sadly he would precede her in death.
When Erma wasnt working she was watching her stories or shopping at garage sales for her treasured Knick Knacks. She loved to people Watch, play Bingo and Pokeno and talking for hours on the phone. She cooked while she talked making her famous spaghetti, frying fish or making Pig ear sandwiches.
Erma passed away March 9th, 2020 at Fountain West Nursing and Rehab. She was 86 years old. Waiting to welcome her home were her parents, Garrnet and Florence; her husband, Willie Richardson; a brother, Clifford Mickens; granddaughters, Arceyya Scott and Shardnay Scott; daughter in law, Tracy Scott and son in law, George Hill. She will also be greeted by he best friend, Sue Richardson.
Left to carry her memory are her children Charles Scott, Richard (Karen) Scott, Anna Scott, James (Renee) Scott and Danine Scott; her 11 grandchildren and 20 great- grandchildren.
Gone too soon, Erma will be missed by all those whose life she touched
