Eric Nyonee

Eric Nyonee was born on May 27, 1983 to Mr. Cheastin Doe Nyonee and Ms. Zuoe Barwu in Monrovia, Liberia, West Africa.

Eric was raised and educated in Liberia. In 2008, he came to the United States to Des Moines, IA with the help of a refugee program.

Eric was employed at Service Master for one year in 2010. In 2011, he became employed at Wal-Mart where he worked until his passing.

Eric was a quiet man and mostly kept to himself. He loved God and attended Meredith Drive Reform Church. Singing was his passion. He loved gospel music, especially hymns. His other interests included cooking, fishing, and watching soccer on T.V.

In 2008, Eric was diagnosed with liver cancer. Eric was called to glory after his battle with cancer on July 11, 2013. He will be greatly missed by, his fiancee, Zeor Dorbor; his daughter, Grace Nyonee in Liberia (12 years old); his parents, Cheastin Nyonee and Zuoe Barwu; his siblings, Alfred Nyonee, Eric Duolo, Tutugirl Duolo, Amos Duolo, Dusty Nyonee, and Duwar Tilly; his uncles, Jerry Saylee and Alfred Zelee; his aunt, Nancy Deah; along with a host of extended family and friends.
