Eloise (Bell) Young-Woods was born on April 7, 1945 to Sam Bell Sr. and Idealor Hudson, in Des Moines, IA. She was educated in the Des Moines Public School District and started her career after graduating from high school.

Eloise worked several jobs throughout her lifetime but spent the majority of the career working as a C.N.A. at Broadlawns Hospital. She also worked for eight years at the womens shelter. During her free time she enjoyed dancing, playing cards and doing puzzles. She also found pleasure in reading a good book or painting.

On January 5, 2021, Eloise made her transition from time to eternity. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sam Bell Sr. and Idealor Hudson; ex-husband, Edgar Young; sisters, Elizabeth Carter, Hazel Bell and Doris Lindsey and brothers, Sam Bell Jr. and Leroy Bell.

Left to cherish Eloises memory is her husband, George Woods Jr.; children, Yolanda Young, Yvonne Young; sisters, Armiller Grubb and VanDelor Nickens; grandchildren, Diamond Young, Darrio Young, Damir Young, Yarvon Russell, Elise Young and Octovio Saunders, six great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.Visitation
