Duwaine Shelton was born on January 14, 1944 in Sioux City, Iowa to the proud parents Tommy James Heidleberg and Alice Shelton Morris. Duwaine attended and graduated from Central High School, He later went to work for the Department of Transportation for 17 years until he retired.
Duwaine was a loving caring man who never met a stranger. His hobbies included dog racing, going to the casino, playing dominos, watching sports, especially football (he did predict the Ravens would win the Super Bowl). He loved his family and friends; there was nothing he wouldn't do for them. As he would say, the streets called him "Main Man" and the ladies just called him "Du".
On February 2, 2013, Duwaine answered the Master's call to rest. Waiting on the other side to receive him were his parents; his son, Duwaine Shelton, Jr.; grandmother, Susie Shelton and brother, Joseph Henderson.
Left to cherish his wonderful memory is his wife Margaret Wright; his children, Christopher Robinson, Crystal Releford, Sidney Shelton and Rochelle Carter; step-children, Jeff Lewis, Sam, Darryl and Roxanne Wright; siblings Melvin Davis, Tommy Hiedleberg, Billie Hiedleberg, Frieda Heidleberg, Willie Hiedleberg, Linda Hiedleberg, James Hiedleberg, Thomas (Carol) Henderson, Joanne (Gene) Rose, John (Shirley) Henderson, Walt (Donna) Henderson, Edna Henderson, Susie (Louis) Patton, Lori Brooks, 17 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and a host of very close family and friends. Duwaine wanted you to know " He was here, and now he's gone, Bye"
