Dennis Steven Ashby of Des Moines, Iowa was born on September 14, 1948 to Madaline Dominquez and Robert Ashby. Dennis attended Dunbar high School in Chicago, Illinois. He also attended Tech High School, in Des Moines, Iowa. He played semi-pro football for the Des Moines Vikings.

Over time, he worked his way up, becoming the Supervising Building Services Coordinator. He had a great sense of work ethic and loved what he did.

Dennis loved his Jeeps and enjoyed fixing cars. He was immaculate in his dress, style and smelled good too. He was always a good conversationalist and always willing to give advice. Dennis gave a helping hand to friends in need. He was “down for his crown” and well liked by many. You might not have liked what he said but you would always count on him telling you the plain truth.
