Denise Mcgregory

Denise A McGregory was born 57 years ago in Des Moines, Iowa to Otis McGregory and Grace Moore. Denise was a lifelong resident of Des Moines, attending and graduating from Des Moines Tech High school.



Denise loved children and she wanted to be the best mother s to her children, Delores, Lawrence, Lance and Danielle. She was a stay at home mom so she could watch and care for them.



Denise loved traveling around the country. Her favorite places to spend time were California and Florida. She loved the tropical weather and the smell of the salty winds. Denise never met a mall she didn't like! She loved shopping and you could count on her to bring you a surprise gift that she found on her trip. When she wasn't shopping, Denise loved spending time with her grandchildren and making her delicious turkey and dressing. She was a great soul food cook; sometimes using the vegetables out of her own little garden. She would cook and listen to her favorite gospel hits. She couldn't sing, but she had a mean clap.

Denise recently gave her life to the Lord and recognized the Master's voice when he called her name on October 30, 2015. Preceding her in death were her mother, Grace; her father, Otis and her siblings Debra Moore and Eugene "Chico" Moore.



Left to cherish Denise's memory are her long time companion, Daniel Green; her children, Delores , Lawrence, Lance and Danielle McGregory; her siblings, Cheryl (Jesse) Hayes, DeLisa McGregory, Korte McGregory and Toiane Quick; her beloved grandchildren, Jayvon McGregory, Joshay Robinson, Joseph Robinson, Shawn Dae Jr., Taj Lane, Quiyeon McGregory, Quiara McGregory, Jayden McGregory, Davion Fields and Jakobe Mc Gregory along with a host of extended family and friends.
