Deacon Bobby Eugene Cooper

Deacon Bobby Cooper, age 72, went home to be with the Lord June 8, 2018.

Deacon Cooper moved to Des Moines from Sioux City in 2008. He was a member of Mt. Hebron Baptist Church and the Central District Deacons Association. He truly walked softly and carried a big stick. He collected and carved over 50 of the big staffs he was known for. He was a sharp dresser who loved to eat, especially sweets. Deacon Cooper also loved fishing, watching westerns and sports on TV, going to church and listening to gospel quartet singing. He collected watches and time pieces of all kinds.

Deacon Cooper is survived by his children, Bobby 'Bobby 2' Miller (Amanda Marz), Larry Cooper, Armenta Raulhac (Craig), Lynette Cooper, Angela Jones, DeeDee (Sheldon) Williams, Nicole Cooper Hines (Brian Sr); step-brother, Roger (Marcia) McCray as well as 16-plus grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren and friends.Visitation
