David Floyd Fugate Sr

David Fugate Sr. was born on March 16, 1954 to Kerry Taylor and Odessa Fugate in Des Moines, IA. He was educated in the Des Moines Public School District and graduated from North High School.



David was blessed with three children; David Jr., Shalonda and John.



In his free time, David enjoyed cars, old school music and movies. A self taught mechanic, he liked to fix and restore classic cars to their original form. He was also skilled at re-building sound systems that would play his old school R & B jams. When he was at home, David would relax on the couch to a thrilling Sci-Fi flick like Godzilla or Children of the Corn. Mr. Fugate will also be remembered for his delicious pots of stew, chili or his tender roast.



David stepped from time into eternity on December 28, 2014. He was greeted on the other side by his wife, Jeanette; parents, Kerry and Odessa; brother, Kerry and his grandmother, Lucille Webb.



Left to cherish David's memory are his children, David Jr., Shalonda and John Fugate; siblings, Glen, Lucille, Debbie and Bonnie Fugate and Albert Amos ; 3 grandchildren, Shawniece, ShayQuan and Dejuan Fugate and a host of extended family and friends.
