David Carroll Jr. passed away on July 13, 2019. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 22, 2019, at Revival Center COGIC at 11am. (Note change of time.)
David Carroll Jr. was born on October 10, 1947 to David and Junie (Strickland) Carroll Sr., in Blue Mountain, Mississippi. He was educated in the area school district in graduated from high school in Ripley, Mississippi.
Along lifes journey while going to the movie theater down in Mississippi, David met a young lady name Pearl Cameron. The two fell in love and relocated to Des Moines,Iowa to plant their roots. They loved and cared for each other and the together they raised their children, James, Rolonda, Shun, Michael and Kenneth.
David was a fun loving man who with a great sense of humor. He spent his time teasing family and friends whenever he had the opportunity. He also had a knack for mens fashion and took pride in dressing well whenever he was out and about. David spent time listening to country music and tending to his collection of unique items.
On July 13, 2019 David answered the Masters call to rest. He was welcomed on the other side by his parents, David Sr. and Junie; sisters, Ethel Carroll and Mertis Carter.
Left to cherish Davids memory is his loving wife, Willie "Pearl" Carroll; children, James (Deetta) Cameron, Shun Carroll of Blue Ridge, Mississippi, and Rolanda (Tony) Sutton; step children, Michael (Shawniece) Cameron and Kenneth (Liz) Cameron; siblings, Polly (Terry) Derty, Mary Lipsey, Margaret (Thomas) Caldwell, Christine (Jesse) Jones, Johnnie (Ray) Jackson, Lucy (Alvin) Carroll, Stella (Thomas) Johnson, Loretta Gibbs, Donna Gibbs, Geanette Gibbs, and Joe (Izell) Carroll; 25 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and a host of other extended relatives and friends.Visitation
