Constance Ann Grant was born September 27th, 1940 to Geraldine Weeks and Walter Robinson in Ottumwa, IA. She was educated and graduated from Ottumwa High School. Connie went on to pursue a college degree in Administration at AIB. Constance spent the remainder of her professional life as an executive secretary, and for many years was employed at Federal Home Loan Bank.
Connie was a long time member of Maple Street Baptist Church; where she was baptised and married to Willie Grant Jr. She and Willie shared many fond memories, laughs, children and grandchildren until his untimely passing in 2004.
Connie was happy staying at home. She enjoyed listening to classical music; crocheting and knitting beautifully woven designs for family, friends and church members. When she did get out of the house, Connie enjoyed sitting on the river bank and fishing.
Connie passed away at Urbandale Care Center on April 6, 2019. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie; her parents, Walter and Geraldine, step father, Jack and her granddaughter, Brandi Savage. Connie will be missed by her children, Tara (Ricky) Savage, Theresa (Moses) Woods; grandchildren Deidra Savage, Martin (Tenisha) Grant, Alexis Scott, Anthony Grant, great grandchildren, Mikai and Micah Grant, Taryn ; her sisters, Judy Robinson and Cathy Martin Johnson: nieces, Gina Robinson, Louisa Davis, Rondalynn Ray Thompson and a host of great nieces and nephews, extended family and many friends.Celebration of Life
