Clayton B Gaddy

Clayton Bernard Gaddy was born on September 29, 1961 to Oscar and Celestia (Dunlap) Gaddy in La Grange, Georgia. His family relocated to Des Moines, IA where he completed his formal education at Tech High School.

Following graduation Clayton began his career working various laborer positions including: Pomerantz, Titan Tire, Firestone, Monarch, Lomar and Dry Basement to name a few.

Clayton played as hard as he worked. He spent his down time playing basketball, barbequing and spending time with his family. He was also an accomplished musician. He played the bass and loved to sing to his wife. Clayton took time to master all of his endeavors because he took pride in what he did, no matter what it was.

Clayton went to heaven on December 14, 2016. He was preceded in death by his father, Oscar Gaddy and his grandparents.

Left to cherish Claytons memory is his wife of 36 years, Rebecca Dawson; children, Jamarcus Dawson and Reniqua Dawson; mother, Celestia Dunlap; siblings, Donna, Mark and Angela Gaddy; and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation
