Chris Ademah Masakah was born February 20th, 1988 in Lirhemebe Village in Ikolomani Constituency, Kakamega County (Kenya)He was son to Hon. Benard Masaka Shinali and Petronilla and half-son to Evelyn Shinali. He was the eldest in a family of seven. He met his death trying to save a child from drowning on July 26, 2019 in Phoenix, Arizona.
He went to Lirhemebe/Sirakaru Primary Schools and proceeded to Mbagathi High School for secondary education, then joined the University of Nairobi (Kikuyu campus) for a mechanical engineering course. He worked as an electrical engineer for private firms before moving to the USA to further his studies.
In 2017, he joined the U.S. Army. Completing his basic training at Fort Benning ,Georgia. After which he was transferred to Fort Lee in Virginia where his military occupational specialty was a Diesel Engine Specialist. Following he was posted at the Fort Des Moines unit where he continued with his specialty.
He was a member of the Salvation Army Church, Mbakalo Corps confirmed senior soldier.
In December of 2018 they had a customary marriage to Joan Namachemo. In their blended family they have four children. Sandrah, Quincy, Melvin, and Ragy. They got married in December 2018.
Chris had an avid soul and continuously served the ones he loved with the highest honor.
