Charles Thomas Botts was born September 28, 1950 in Des Moines, IA to Leonard and Tereca (Hickman) Botts.
Bubba, as he was affectionately called, graduated from North High School and found employment with John Deere. He worked there for many years before his retirement.
Retirement meant more time for FISHING! Bubba loved to fish. He would bow fish or ice fish come summer or winter. He had a boat that he would fish from also. But the strange part was, Bubba didn't like fish! He gave away all he caught. Beside fishing, Bubba like to bowl and hang out with his best friend, Leonard. They would play cards and domino's almost every day.
Bubba married Michelle (Mickie) Newman in September of 1970. Together they raised four sons. Bubba and Mickie remained friends throughout the years.
Bubba passed away on October 7, 2017 at Methodist Hospital. He was 67 years old. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Tereca Botts; his brothers, Harold, Alfred and James Botts and his sister, Doris Jean Burrell.
He leaves fond memories with his children Ty Patrick, Stacen Botts, Larry Botts and Scott Newman; his sister, Julia Horton; uncles Billy Botts and Wilber Botts; his former wife and friend, Mickie Botts and many friends.
