Carmen Yvonne Hall

Carmen Yvonne Hall was born May 6, 1949 in Des Moines, Iowa to John Alfred Hall and Lena Mae Hutchinson. She was educated in the Des Moines Public School system, where she graduated from North High School.



Carmen was very intelligent and her life took her down several career paths. She was a Certified Nursing Assistant, a Drug Counsellor and Human Service worker.



Carmen was very good at giving advice - sometimes whether you asked for it or not. She was a no non-sense kind of woman. Plain spoken and brutally honest, she didn't have time to play games with you. But you always knew Carmen had your back. She was very creative and artistic. She had a green thumb and was able to even bring dead plants back to life. She was a good cook and her lasagna or meat loaf was a favorite! She had a way with animals, also. She could entice the squirrels to come and eat right out of her hand. She would often travel with Kenny when he went on over the road truck runs. Carmen liked working her crossword puzzles as she kept him company on the road. When at home she loved to watch TV and always had a good smelling candle burning.



On the evening of November 30, 2015, Jesus sent an Angel to whisper Carmen's name. She surrendered to Heaven's call at the age of 66. Waiting to welcome her home were her grandparents, parents, 2 brothers, 2 sisters, her son, Monte and cousin, Ralph Hall.



Left to mourn her passing are her spouse, Kenneth Hill Jr.; her children, Monda and DeMarco Hall; her sisters, Peggy, Belinda and Diantha; her brother, Charles; grandchildren, Antonio, Ah'sha and Ajurae Hall and a host of extended family and many friends.
