Calvin Lamar Edwards

Calvin LaMar Edwards was born on August 2, 1977 to Al Garrett and Mary Ann Edwards. Calvin was born and raised in Des Moines, IA. With his personality, he was a friend to many. After graduating from East High School, He was employed through various jobs. Calvins desire to be great was shown in his daily actions, through the good times and bad.

Calvin enjoyed many things in life, especially playing with his children. They were his pride and joy, second to none. Being as tall as he was, Calvin had no choice but to play basketball. He enjoyed to "show out" on the court for anyone who wanted to play defense against him. He enjoyed college football, Florida State being his favorite team. Calvin enjoyed doing crossword puzzles in his spare time to keep his mind learning more and new things. Calvin was lover of people and took pleasure in helping others, with no expectation of anything in return. As a family man, he enjoyed spending time with his immediate and extended family members. He was a man of strength!

On September 12, 2017, Calvin departed this life to take his final rest at the age of 40. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Ellen Edwards and aunt, Linda Edwards.

His legacy will live on forever through his grandfather: Robert Edwards Sr.; uncle: Robert Edwards Jr.; aunts: Deborah and Robin Kay; parents: Mary Ann Edwards and Al Garrett; children: Alexis, Cheyenne, Calvin, Lamar, Jayden, and Zhi Mareon; along with a host of cousins, family and friends.Visitation
