Bryan Waterhouse

Bryan Cavanaugh Waterhouse, 45, known as "House," was born August 25, 1970 in Gary, Indiana, to parents Buford and Annie Waterhouse.

Bryan's easy going and warm-hearted personality was a constant light and comforting presence to his family.

He was the youngest of three sons, the little brother of Dwane & Harold, and the big brother of younger sister, Sharlonda. Bryan attended Williams Elementary school, Pulaski Middle school and Roosevelt High School, where he was a multi-sport athlete who ran track and played basketball and football until he graduated in 1988.

Bryan attended his father's alma mater, Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. Like his dad, he played football for the Drake Bulldogs. He also parlayed his love for music and gab into a gig as a late-night radio DJ for the college's radio station. After a career in the insurance field, Bryan shifted to financial management, working for ING for six years as an annuities manager and most recently Wells Fargo for seven years as a Loan Administration Manager in Property Preservation.

Although he resided in Iowa, the ever-nostalgic Bryan was glued to his hometown and family. With constant sentimental cards, hour-long calls and multiple yearly trips to attend church with his mom and enjoy his mom's home cooking, Bryan was a loyal and steadfast presence for his mother, father, sister and brothersBryan and Tanya met September 10, 2001 and connected almost immediately. The chemistry they had was amazing; sharing similar interests and values. After a short time Bryan decided Tanya was the woman he wanted to marry. On August 25, 2003 he proposed, asking her to marry him. When asked why he proposed on his birthday, he replied, "She was the best gift he could have given himself". On September 18, 2004 Bryan and Tanya were married and started their beautiful life together. Bryan, Tanya, and Mikayla enjoyed traveling together visiting friends and family. When Bryan was at home, he loved cooking, grilling out, listening to music and staying fit. Bryan and Mikayla established a wonderful relationship as she grew older. They were both huge Laker and Noles (Seminole) fans. The texts back and forth on game days were endless; this she will surely miss. He also introduced her to "Old School" hip hop music. Those conversations were hilarious. To listen to. two people from different generations love the same, "hook line" or verse in a song was amazing. Bryan was a wonderful husband and stepfather to Tanya and Mikayla. He was deeply loved and will truly be missed.Bryan and Tanya met September 10, 2001 and connected almost immediately.
