Betty Louise Kellogg Cooley Wilkerson

Betty Louise Kellogg Cooley Wilkerson, a native of Des Moines, Iowa who was a resident of Sait Louis Park, MN, died on September 6, 2013 at the age of 81.

The daughter of Albert M. Kellogg and Mamie Frances Simmons Kellogg Parkey was born on October 29, 1931 in Des Moines, IA.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond E. Wilkerson; son, John William Cooley, Jr.; sisters, Barbara Palmer Christmon and Roberta Stewart Keesee and her brothers, Lawrence, Ronald, Thomas, Robert and Kenneth Parkey.

Betty leaves to cherish her memory, her sons, Lawrence Douglas Cooley of Minneapolis, MN and Charles (Carol) Cheatom of Aurora, CO; her daughter, Rickie Chukura of Minneapolis, MN; 2 brothers, Roger (Lynne) Parkey of Des Moines, IA and Russell Parkey of Fidley, MN; her sister, Gaynelle Narcisse of Des Moines, IA; 9 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of extended family, friends and acquaintances.

The viewing and homegoing service was held on Friday, September 13, 2013 at First Memorial Funeral Chapel in Edina , MN.

Inurnment and memorial services will be held at 2 pm Saturday, September 21 at Glendale Cemetery in Des Moines, IA.
