Bertha Mae Kellogg

Bertha Mae (Bundles) Kellogg was born on February 16, 1940 to Albert Lewis and Bessie Bundles, in Glasgow, MO. She was educated in the local school district and graduated from Glasgow High School. Later in life she would continue her education at Des Moines Area Community College.

Early in life, Bertha was blessed with two children, Billy and Sheila. Along life's journey Bertha met Albert Kellogg. The two were united in holy matrimony and were blessed with two more children, Theresa and Albert Jr. The couple raised their family and shared love and life together until Albert Sr. passed away.

Bertha had a knack for caring for others and made it her chosen profession. Throughout her career she worked at Methodist Hospital, Bishop Drum and Fountain West Nursing Homes. In her home life, Bertha enjoyed spending time with her family and rolling strikes on Wii Bowling. She also made others laugh with her signature lines: 'Honey hush', 'Get your own switch' and 'I ain't sleep, I'm just resting my eyes'.

On September 12, 2016 Bertha transitioned from time to eternity. She was reunited on the other side with her husband, Albert Sr.; daughter, Theresa; brothers, Albert and James Lewis and sisters, Arlantha and Margaret Lewis.

Left to cherish Bertha's memory are her children, Billy (Renee) Lewis, Sheila Lewis and Albert Kellogg Jr., a host grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

We, the family of Bertha Mae Kellogg, would like to offer our sincere thanks and gratitude for all the expressions of love and support during this difficult time. We have decided to celebrate her life and legacy privately. However we humbly solicit your continued prayers as we adjust to the loss of our loved one.
