Ben Howard Nelson

Ben Howard Nelson was born October 6, 1963 to Bert and Mary Nelson in Des Moines, IA. Ben was educated in the Des Moines Public Schools and graduated from Lincoln High School. He ran track for Lincoln High school where he also received a letter for his accomplishments in track and field. Later to become a self employed independent contractor.

Ben who self proclaimed himself as (Baby Boy) was always there to lend a helping hand when there was a need. Ben’s energy engulfed the room with his big smile and gold tooth. He was always ready to party or to work someone’s nerves. Ben’s love for Cadillacs was like no other ,You could always catch him in his free time shinning or buffing his Cadillacs. Ben’s expertise on Cadillacs made him feel as if he had all the knowledge there is to know about Cadillacs and no one could tell him any different. He loved his family, Pearlie Girlie, and his grandchildren.

On August 13, 2023 Ben left us to soon. He is proceeded in death by his father, Bert Howard Nelson; mother Mary Nelson; and siblings Charleen, Queen, Bert, Stanley, and Jessie Nelson.

Left to cherish spouse, Yolanda; children, Benice Nelson; Darion, Deshawn Waller, William Overs, and Trevor Abby; siblings; Russell Nelson, Earl Nelson, Major Nelson, Ervin Nelson, and Mark Nelson and Pearlie (girlie) Nelson; grandchildren; Alora, Zuri, Jayonna, Alasia and a host of family and friends.
