Barbara 'Annette' Trogdon

Barbara Annette Trogdon was born April 18, 1962 in Des Moines, Iowa to Edgar and Barbara Ann (Lewis) Trogdon. Barbara attended and graduated from North High School. She was a life long resident of Des Moines.

Annette, as she was usually called, was a hard worker. She enjoyed her security job and even worked for the Des Moines Public Schools for a short time before her health began to fail.

Annette loved her family and was fiercely loyal to them. The loves of her life were her son, Jeremy, and her grandbabies. She had a generous heart, always looking out for others. If you were down on your luck and had no where to go, you could go to Annettes house and she would welcome you in. She loved family get togethers where she would cook her famous beef and noodles. She was the family historian with all the pictures she took and she loved showing them to the family. She especially loved the "girls trips" she and her sisters took every year. This Stage III ovarian cancer survivor was happy at home, watching Westerns, Andy Griffin and listening to country music with the grandbabies.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Pioneer Park on Saturday July 13, 2019 at 12 noon.

Annette was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Virginia. She is survived by her sons, Jeremy Trogdon and Anthony doss, Jr; her companion, Anthony Doss, Sr; her siblings, Rodney (Lorrie), Annette, Ronnie (Misty), Sandra, Brenda, Tammy and Jon; 9 grandchildren; her step mother, Marla; best good friends, Candy and Cindy along with a host of extended family and friends.
