Barbara Adair

July 4, 1962 — August 29, 2017

Barbara Adair

Barbara Florence Adair was born July 4, 1962 to the union of Charles Lee and Eunice Mae (Pigues) Adair.

Barbara attended Des Moines' Tech High School where she graduated.

Baptized at an early age, Barbara attended Mt. Hebron Missionary Baptist Church for many years.

Barbara worked briefly for Titan Tires and Heather Manor Nursing Home; but for most of her life she was a stay at home mother and grandmother. She was the life of the party and love spending time with her family. She entertained the family as the BBQ queen. Barbara made a mean pork steak. She loved shopping at Walmart, watching "The First 48" and other crime reality shows. Of course you know "The Young and the Restless " was on her favorite watchlist. She was the middle child and the favorite aunt; but she didn't play with her children or the grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was mostly a homebody and kept a clean orderly house. You were always welcome there.

Barbara waged a courageous fight against cancer and won her battle on August 29, 2017. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie Lee Adair and Eunice Mae Adair; her son, Rashad Adair; and her brother: Johnny White and Ricky Wagner, Brother in law: Tommy Hardin.

Barbara is survived by her children, Johnny (Cheyenne) White, Brandon (Sheena) White, and Ashley White; siblings, Robert (Valery) Adair, David (Rena) Adair, Nate Butts, Jessie Hardin, Jerry (Melinda) Adair, Barry (Monica) Adair, Karen (Willie) Quinn and Lonnie (Thomasina) Adair. She also leaves behind her step children, Gina (Lonta) Muhammad, Trina (Roscoe) White, Ricky Wagner Jr., 19 grandchildren and one great grandchild. Visitation
