Ariona Harden

Ariona Harden was born on February 26, 2006 to Daniel Harden Jr. and Chloe Lockhart. She has one little brother that made her smile D'Majae Harden.

Ariona has been through quite the journey since her first breath. She was born with Dandy Walker Syndrome along with other complications. She was immediately flown to Iowa City and it was said that she would not make it through the night. Ariona made it through the night and then the week. It was said that she would never talk, walk, or even smile for as long as she lived. She was hospitalized often and overcame her illnesses each time.

Ariona never learned to walk but was very aware of her surroundings. She always smiled and loved going to church and rejoicing. Ariona touched many hearts and souls, from her in home nurse, to her teachers at Smouse Elementary, and volunteers who worked with her.

Ariona passed away March 11, 2013. Through prayer and the kindness of God she made it to the age of 7. Ariona is preceded in death by her great grandfathers, Carl Jeter Jr, Avance Harden, Willis Griffin, and Ernest Lockhart; her great great grandma, Alice Johnson; and her great uncle, Stephen Harden.

Our little angel will be missed by her parents, Daniel Harden Jr. and Chloe Lockhart; her little brother, D'Majae Harden; her grandparents, Regina Sharp, Robert Lockhart, Rhonda Rochon, and Pastor Daniel Harden Sr.; her Godparents, Pastor Michael Cameron and Shawnice Cameron; along with a host of extended family and friends.
