Archie 'Dale' Ballentine

Archie Cardale Ballentine was born on October 24, 1965 to Archie and Loisteen Ballentine in Sardis, Mississippi, Although he was born in Mississippi he lived all his life in Des Moines and was educated in the Des Moines Public School System graduating from Des Moines Tech High School in 1984. Archie worked as an over the road truck driver. He was last employed with Ruan Trucking.

When Archie wasn't on the road he enjoyed spending time with family and friends, fishing, playing video games and playing numerous sports. He was a hard working, kind hearted man, who would do anything for the people he loved.

On August 6, 2012 Archie heard the Master's call. Archie was greeted at Heaven's Gate by his grandparents; Archie Ballentine, Cora Franklin and Robert and Elizabeth Watson.

Left to cherish Archie's memory are his sons, Cardale Ballentine, Marlon Ballentine, Brandon Ballentine and Tarren Ballentine all of Des Moines, Iowa; daughter, Regan Spahn of Wentville, Missouri; parents Archie and Loisteen Ballentine; girlfriend, Marcella Edmonds and their daughter Honor Edmonds; siblings, Debra (Larry) Oliver of Batesville, Mississippi, Brenda (Mike) Ballentine of Des Moines, Iowa, John (Grace) Havvard of Indianapolis, Indiana, David (Deanna) Ballentine of Des Moines, Iowa; grandchildren, Geanna Jackson, Ka'liyah Ballentine, Paris Ballentine and Cardale Ballentine Jr.
