Antonio Xavion Seals

Antonio 'Tony' Xavion Seals was born June 27, 1972 in Waterloo, Iowa. He was educated in the Des Moines Public School System where he graduated from Valley High School. While at Valley, he excelled at football as a slot back, and also ran track. He briefly attended junior college at Upper Iowa University to pursue his first love, football. He was genuinely loved and admired by his peers. He made everyone laugh and all of his teachers loved him.

Tony loved reading books and writing, watching westerns, cooking and cracking jokes. No matter what was going on, he tried to make others around him laugh.

Tony was funny, outgoing, intelligent, protective, loving and gifted in so many ways.

Tony passed away on July 2nd, 2019. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his parents, Lawrence Curtis Seals Jr., and Roxanne Seals; his children, Shannon, Dakota, Jayden, Ava, Natashia, Malala, Makayla, Tyree, and Jeremiah; his siblings, LaSatra Moore-Weems, Tina Muhammad and Lawrence Curtis Seals III; his grandmother, Lucy Scullark and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins who all loved him dearly.

Tony was so many things to so many different people, but all would agree there was none like him; and he cannot be replaced. His smile, his hugs, his humor comforted and uplifted us all. Tony, like all of us, battled with his own personal demons, but even in the midst of that struggle, he could still draw us into his magic. He let us see his beautiful essence.

Tony had so many talents and he leaves so much of himself with us. His beautiful children, his writings and beautiful memories of our personal interactions with him. Tony would want us to remember the best of him, the good things, who he really was. None of us knows what it was like to walk in his shoes. Lets celebrate the good of him, the best of him and all the joy he bought us all. The struggle for Tony is over now. May he Rest In Peace!

Funeral services for Mr. Antonio 'Tony' Seals are planned for 11 am Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at Henderson's Highland Park Funeral Home. Visitation will be at the funeral home will be on Monday evening, July 8, 2019 from 6-8 pm.Visitation (with family present)
