Antonio Eugene Quinn was born to Larry and Denise (Brooks) Quinn Sr. on November 12, 1980 in Des Moines, Iowa where he was raised and educated in the public-school system. From a young age, Antonio was an avid competitor and sportsman. He played baseball, football and ran track. His junior year at Hoover High his teammates and he broke the 4x100 Drake Relay record. He was Homecoming King the same year he graduated Hoover in 1999.
Antonio went on to University of Northern Iowa and earned a bachelor in business major and minor in finance. He made presidents list while attending Des Moines Area Community College for carpentry certification. He worked as a gas fitter for Q3 Contracting and soon after he worked as a gas service technician for MidAmerican Energy. In his off time, he volunteered coaching his sons baseball team. He accepted Christ at a young age.
Antonio was full of personality and had an infectious smile. He gave without question and helped without complaint. He mowed for his neighbors and offered a hand to so many. He loved music and creating his own beats. Enjoyed fishing and catching the Big One. He especially loved his family and gave his heart to Laura Brekke on March 21, 2015. Together they had three children. He was a loving husband, wonderful father, son, brother, uncle and friend whose simple laughter and lending hand will be truly missed by those who knew him. He knew no strangers.
Antonio, passed away unexpectedly on April 11, 2017 at the age of 36. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Norma Fountain; his maternal grandfather, Kenneth Brooks Sr.; his paternal grandparents, Gerald and Dora James Sr.; father-in-law, Thomas Brekke; his uncles, Larry (Stump) Brooks Sr., Alvin Walker Sr. and Michael James; and aunt, Sharon Kay Barquat.
Antonio is survived by his wife, Laura Quinn and their children, James, Elijah and Cataleya Quinn; parents, Larry and Denise Quinn; siblings, Rocquel Quinn of New York, Larry Jr and Kenneth Quinn of Des Moines; grandmother, DeArmour Brooks of Lexington, Missouri; mother-in-law, Mary Anne Brekke; sisters-in-law, Emily (Jason) Sweeney, Margaret (Michael) Brekke-Diehl and Elizabeth Brekke; step-grandfather, Odell Jenkins; step-uncle Marc Jenkins; along with a host nieces, nephews, other extended family and friends.
