Alston Edwards passed away on October 30, 2020.
Alston Troy Edwards was born on December 11, 1998 to Alston Leroy Edwards and Breon Merrett. Alston was raised in Des Moines, Iowa.
Alston completed his general studies at East High School and Roosevelt High School in Des Moines. As a natural born athlete, Alston played basketball, football and wrestled. Because Alston was so used to being active, working out was one of his hobbies.
Furthering his education, Alston graduated from Turner Trade School, where he earned an Electrical Certificate. He worked as an electrician and was employed by Turner Construction.
Alston was affiliated with the Philadelphia Seventh-Day Adventist Church under the leadership of Pastor Brian Irby.
Alston was a family oriented young man and loved spending time with his family and friends. It was always a joy for Alston to go visit his grandmother.
On October 30, 2020, Alston transitioned from this earthly life to life eternal. Alston is preceded in death by his great-great grandfather, Harbor Merrett; great-great grandmother, Lydia Merrett and great grandmother, Sally Burrell.
Alstons life and legacy will continue to live through his mother, Breon Merrett; father, Alston Leroy Edwards; son, Alston Edwards, Jr.; step-father, Terrell Bailey, Sr.; brothers, Nickolas Bailey and Terrell Bailey, Jr.; sisters, Auniysia and Aujunae; additional siblings; grandparents, Tawnya Harris, Frank Propps, Jr. and Dixie Edwards; aunts, Shakira Cooper, Knya, Keonne, Tanielle, Shanice and Laneisha; uncles, Marshaun, Daeron, Taevon, London, Jacy and Alex along; great uncle, Troy along with a host of extended family members and friendsVisitation
