Alice Marie Fisher

Alice Marie Fisher was born January 23, 1945 to the union of David Howard Fisher and Emma Marie (Smith) Fisher in Columbia, Missouri. The family moved north for job opportunities and Alice received her primary education here. Alice graduated from North High School.

Sister Fisher was baptized at an early age and was a member of Evangelist Crusaders Church of God in Christ while she lived in Minneapolis. Once she moved back to Des Moines she joined Evangelistic Missionary Church Of God In Christ under Pastor Gerald Hill.

She was a church mother and enjoyed singing, volley ball, dancing, roller skating, going to parks and especially family outings. She liked to cook and her beef stroganoff and shepherds pie was a family favorite. Alice didnt let a day go by without watching her favorite soap opera, 'The Young and the Restless', Alice loved people. As matter of fact Alice loved everyone and most of all she loved life. Alice was a natural caregiver. She worked at Ebenezer Assisted Living Facility in Minneapolis, MN and Glendale Lynwood Community Center and also at Sabathani Community Center MN.

Alice answer the Master call on November 26, 2017 . She was preceded in death by her parents David and Emma Fisher; grandparents, Margaret and Claude R. Smith Sr.; brother, Claude Fisher and her uncles, George Woods Sr., Claude R. Smith Jr. and Homer L. Smith, and Aunt Mary M. Smith.

Alice is survived by her son, Wralph (Rocky) Jackson; sisters, Phyllis Williams and Vivian Richardson; brother, Kenneth Williams Jr., Donald L. Williams Sr., Richard L. Fisher and Stacy E. Ward and of course all those that she helped raise as, If they were her own, Claudette Fisher, Alice Williams and Whitney Stone.

Alices lively presence at worship service and wise words of counsel will be missed by all who knew her. Visitation
