Minister Aaron Mitchell Rice was born on September 28, 1978 to Ira Luther Rice Jr. and Alesia Denese Teasley, in St. Louis, MO.
He graduated from Riverview Gardens High School with honors. He earned a B.A. Degree in Psychology and a minor in Religious Studies from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2001.
Aaron met the love of his life at the University of Missouri-Columbia in bible study in 1998. They were married on July 6, 2002. From this union God blessed them with one daughter, Naomi Erin Rice.
He was employed by Cintas Uniform Company (1997-2007) and Kraft Heinz Company (2007-2016) as a Customer Retail Manager.
Aaron was a faithful member of Greater St. Matthew Missionary Baptist Church and was called and licensed to preach the Gospel by Greater St. Matthew M.B.C. in 2008. Aaron, Nayshea and Naomi moved to Des Moines, where he attended Cornerstone Family Church.
He loved to read the Bible and Christian fiction novels. He also was a writer, video gamer, great debater, life coach and encourager. Aaron was serious about everything he did. He enjoyed being married, loved his biological family and spiritual family. He was a wonderful husband and amazing father. He boldly proclaimed the Gospel of Jesus Christ no matter what state he was in. Not only did he preach the Gospel but he also lived it. He had a good sense of humor and was a great dancer.
Aaron went home to be with Lord on July 23, 2016. His father, Ira Luther Rice Jr., preceded him in death.
Aaron will forever be remembered by his wife, Nayshea; daughter, Naomi; mother, Alesia Pearson; grand parents, Ira Luther Rice Sr., Jules L. Teasley, Ava Marie Rice and Ethel Teasley; siblings, Jarmaine Teasley, James Hubbard Jr., Barry (Shajah) Pearson Jr., Gabrielle Rice, Ava J. Rice and Ashley Pearson; life-long friend, Demetrius Taylor and a host of other relatives and friends.
