Rasim Catic

Rasim Catic passed away on January 24, 2021. A burial ceremony will be held on January 26, 2021, in Prole, Iowa, at Ezan Cemetery at 4:00 p.m.

Rasim Catic was born to Omer Catic and Naza Salkic on July 15, 1947, in Bosnia/Herzgovina. He was raised and educated in the area, completing his formal education in Bosnia.

On February, 17, 1972, Rasim and Selima Lulic were united in marriage. Together, they made their home in Bosnia/Herzgovina to raise their family. After emigrating to the United States, Rasim, continued working in construction until his retirement.

He loved spending time with his family, and was the greatest dad and grandpa. He was a natural storyteller and knew the best jokes. Rasim also was a giving person, who never knew a stranger. He was a devoted husband to his wife of 49 years.

Rasim is preceded in death by his parents, Omer and Naza; siblings, Sulejman, Hasan, Hasib, Hase, Ibrahim, Nure and Saco.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Selima; children, Omer (Mary), Enver, Mujo, Sedina (Jason), Edina (Tim), Naza, Merima (Richard); grandchildren, Adel, Milena, Mia, Omer, Olivia, Selima, Noah, Aleena, Ashton, Breolain, Lindsey, Heather and Tim.Graveside Service
