Raasheema Dalynn Scott was born November 7, 1971 in Des Moines, Iowa to Richard and Roxanne (Newman) Scott.
She-She, as she was affectionately called, graduated from Valley High School in West Des Moines
The only girl in a house full of boys, Raasheema held her own. She played all the "boy sports" and was as rough and tough as they were. She loved animals of all kinds and could never leave a stray outside. Growing up, there were turtles, fish, dogs, cats and birds at home. Mom drew the line at snakes though.
More than animals, Raasheema loved children. She was the favorite Auntie that gathered the kids up for fun times. When she had her own child, Domonic, she was a no nonsense Mom. Raasheema was a great cook and her specialties were steak tacos and pizza burgers. She loved gospel and old school music and could sing along. Raasheema was a loyal friend and brutally honest. If she liked you, she loved you and if she
didn't, you knew that too.
And too soon, she was gone. Raasheema was called to rest on March 8, 2013 at the age of 41. Preceding her in death were her father, Richard Scott, Sr; her grandparents, Richard and Marie Newman and Minnette and Joseph Scott.
Left to celebrate Raasheema's memory are her son, Domonic Winfrey; her mother, Roxanne (Gary) Roe; her siblings, Damon Scott, Rontez Scott Richie Scott and Tania Govan along with a host of anuts, uncle, nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.
