Annie Ozell Robinson, 83, went home to be with the Lord on October 17, 2020.
Annie Ozell Robinson was born June 5, 1937 in Bosco, Louisiana to Flournoy Marshall and Rosalie Johnson Marshall.
Annie Ozell attended elementary at Union Baptist Church school in Bosco, LA. She attended Richwood High School in Monroe, LA and later completed her studies at Lincoln High School in Lincoln, NE.
Annie married Frank Robinson on July 7, 1988. She was a devoted wife for 32 years. They shared many memories together and enjoyed travelling especially to Alabama, Denver, Louisiana and Texas, visiting family and friends along the way.
A devout follower of Christ, she began her Christian journey at an early age. As an adult and relocating her family to Des Moines, IA where she joined Macedonia Baptist Church. For the last years she has been a faithful steward and member of New Birth Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Clifford Wright, where she sang in the choir, served as Church Mother, and President of the Womens Mission Board. She enjoyed hosting mission meetings at her home.
A faithful friend to many, she was a champion for the underdog and loved and supported everyone. Annie was always a dedicated worker and had a strong work ethic. She never complained and always had an easy going temperament. She loved hats and flowers. She took great pride in her yard and spent many hours planting and cultivating flowers. Her greatest love was her children and family.
She was employed as a home health aide for 25 years at Bishop Drumm and various nursing homes throughout the Des Moines area. She retired as a private duty home health aide and started her own day care to keep her many grandchildren.
Annies sunset was October 17, 2020 at the age of 83. Preceding her in death were her parents, Flournoy Marshall and Rosalee (Rudolph) Parson; Walter Williams (widowed); sister, Elsie Mae Murrell; sons, Murray McNeal Williams and Leroy Williams; niece, Kaye Lejeune Chancellor.
She leaves to cherish her memories husband, Frank Robinson; daughters, Barbara Jean Grant of Des Moines, IA; Sytire (Larry ) Bates of Dallas ,TX; Patricia Ann Williams of Des Moines, IA; Elsie (Reggie) Jackson of Johnston, IA; and Mary (Anthony) Wells of Des Moines, IA: sons, Arthur Bernard (Cynthia) Williams of Seattle, WA; Anthony (Kendra) Williams of West Des Moines, IA; and, Calvin Williams of Los Angeles, CA; granddaughter, Loretta (Arvel) Windsor of Des Moines, IA, and brother, Rudolph (Sue) Parson, Jr. of Omaha, NE: 36 grandchildren, 13 greatgrandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren, a niece, 3 nephews, and a host of relatives and friends.
