Marcia Helen Hockmuth

Marcia Helen (Hull) Hockmuth was born December 28, 1938 to Milton Homer and Bernadine (Reardon) Hull. Marcia was raised in Lytton, Iowa and graduated from Lytton High School. For five years, Marcia worked as a Long Distance Telephone Operator for Iowa and Illinois Bell System.



Marcia confessed Christ to be her Lord and Savior at an early age. With her involvement in church, her interest for outreach missions formed. For ten years Marcia was a missionary to Japan.

Marcia met the love of her life, Gerald Llewellyn Hockmuth and joined together in Holy Matrimony November 25, 1961 at the Presbyterian church in Lytton, Iowa. To this union four children were born, Milton, Patricia, Doug and Pamela.

Marcia loved to read, cook and study the Bible. She also enjoyed collecting dolls and lambs.

Marcia and Gerald, as a married couple, lived their lives dedicated to the Lord and were members of The Mission Church in Urbandale, Iowa and Gideons International in Nashville, Tennessee.

Marcia transitioned from this earthly life to eternal life on August 27, 2021 surrounded by family. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, aunts and uncles on both sides of the family.

Marcias life and legacy will live through her husband of 59 years, Gerald Hockmuth; children, Milton Hockmuth, Patricia Olthoff, Doug (Michelle) Hockmuth and Pamela (Dennis) Bolton; eight grandchildren, Zack, Chad, CJ, Jacy, Elle, Cooper, Shay and Faith along with a host of cousins, extended family members and friends.
