Herbert Lee Martin

Herbert L. Martin passed away September 27, 2021. A Memorial Service will be held October 9, 2021 in Chicago, IL.

Herbert Lee Martin was born July 13, 1950 in Chicago, IL to Leslie Martin and Nercile Calvert Martin.

After his high school graduation he enlisted in the US Army. When he was discharged he found employment as a ware house worker. He retired in 2015 because of poor health.

Herbert loved spending time with his daughters, watching tv and joking with everyone. He thought himself a grill master and loved a well cooked steak and an occasional beer.

Herbert passed away September 27, 2021. He was preceded in death by his Parents, Grandmother Sharon Doyle and his daughter Herlonda Martin.

He leaves behind, his grandchildren, Freddy Williams and Darneisha Martin; a step daughter Shawnya Williams; great grandchildren, Nastajah Martin, Darnell Martin, Lakiyah Williams and Latosha Williams, relatives in Chicago and friends in Des Moines.
